Dr. Ndiya Emeaba

Dr. Ndiya Emeaba is a Nigerian-American physician from Houston, Texas, whose passion for medicine, education, and language learning has shaped a unique and inspiring career path.

A graduate of Harmony Science Academy Houston’s Class of 2017, Dr. Emeaba developed an early interest in healthcare through project-based learning. Inspired by a high school research project focused on the lungs, she pursued her goal of becoming a physician and successfully graduated from medical school in 2023.

In addition to her medical training, Dr. Emeaba is passionate about languages and cross-cultural communication. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, and is currently studying French and Igbo. Her multilingual abilities have allowed her to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds and provide more personalized, effective care.

Beyond clinical medicine, Dr. Emeaba serves as a Medical English Tutor, teaching medical terminology and communication skills to Brazilian physicians and medical students. Through education, she helps healthcare professionals strengthen their ability to communicate effectively in international medical environments.

As an incoming Internal Medicine resident, Dr. Emeaba is exploring future specialties including hospice and palliative care, pulmonology, and critical care medicine. Her long-term vision combines patient care, education, and global outreach, with a commitment to improving lives through both medicine and learning.
